European 7-Day Summer Trip 2010

Summer is Paris and London! Whether it's the gardens of Versailles or the mystery of the Louvre, a student summer trip to Europe is full of things to look forward to. With the art, splendor, and history of Paris and London right outside your hotel door, students will be able to learn about and experience the wonders of these two famous cities without restraint. Both highly educational and thouroughly exciting, a summer trip to Paris and London is sure to make memories that will last for a life time.

Day 1
  • Heathrow airport to Central London
    Fly into the Heathrow airport, and take a quick geographical tour while traveling to Central London and the hotel.
  • Hotel Check-in
  • Walking Tour
    Take a few hours to walk around Central London and see all the sites. This tour can even be themed. (Sherlock Holms, literature, theatre...)

Day 2
  • Motorcoach Tour of London
    Visit St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, and the financial district.
  • Shakespeare's Globe Theatre
    Walk across the Tower Bridge and tour the historical Globe Theatre.
  • West End
    Before returning to the hotel, visit Buckingham Palace, the Big Ben, the Houses of Parliment, Hyde Park, and Trafalgar Square.
  • Independent Study

Day 3
  • Windsor
    Visit the infamous Eton School, and Windsor Castle. Visit the State Apartments and St. George's Chapel.
  • British Music Experience
    In the O2 center tour the British Music Experience with historical features of bands such as the Beatles and Queen.

Day 4
  • London to Paris
    Take a train from London to Paris.
  • Introduction Tour
    Take a introductory tour of Paris in a motorcoach en route to the hotel. (view the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, Louvre Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral.)
  • Walking Tour
    Visit Montmatre and tour the Sacre Coeur Basilica.
  • River Cruise
    Take a river cruise down the Seine River to witness the City of Lights in full bloom.

Day 5
  • The Louvre museum
    Walk through the famous Louvre Museum and view the famous art pieces of men such as Leonardo da Vinci.
  • Independent Study
    An optional tour of the Musee D'Orsay is also available

Day 6
  • Versailles
    Drive to the famous palace of the Sun King, Louis XIV. Tour the chambers, gardens, and famed hall or mirrors.
  • Eiffel Tower
    Travel to the top of the Eiffel Tower
  • Local Bistro Farewell Dinner

Day 7
  • Fly home
